"Sword of Alentius" is an independent web series produced entirely in Texas, created and written by Josh Thigpen. A former "World's Strongest Man" competitor, Thigpen also stars as the warrior, Jax. After retiring from professional strongman competitions, Thigpen fully dedicated himself to the creation of "Sword of Alentius," serving not only as its writer, producer and director, but also as the fight choreographer, casting director, costume designer and more.

 

The pilot episode, Episode 1, was produced in late 2022, early 2023. This episode was filmed at Newmans Castle, George Ranch Historical Park, and 7IL Ranch.

New episodes began production in late 2023 with a larger budget. These episodes showcase iconic Texas landmarks like Longhorn Cavern, Capernaum Studios and returns to 7IL ranch. It draws from the wealth of Texas talent, with Joey Nicotra of CinemaStory serving as Director of Photography.

The cast features Texas-based actors such as: Frankie Sanchez, Stephen Laster, Lizzie Camp, Willie Mellina, Kasey Bass, Mark Stonebarger, Dave McClain, Chad Garrett, John Goad, and veteran Hollywood actor, Deke Anderson.
